Hi there!

It has been a long time, but I finally updated my website. I’ve made two prints since the last update. Here’s a silly one:

You know, what baby dragons do when they have time on their hands.

The other I am very proud of. It was inspired by a really magical mountain river valley in Nagano prefecture, Japan, with incredibly blue water, that empties into the Kiso River near Nojiri.

I had the pleasure of hiking up this valley last year when I visited Japan for the International Mokuhanga Conference. The Kiso itself was kind of muddy at Nojiri – there had been rain, and there was construction not far away, so one of those two is likely why. Here is what it looked like where the clear water from the Atera Valley flowed into the Kiso:

The Atera River was amazingly clear. Also quite cold and flowing rapidly! So though it looks inviting, swimming was out of the question in this snowmelt-fed river.

You may see this water again in a new print!
